Miniature figures
move across the wall, adapting to its surface and structure.
A continuation of the Surface as Memory series, developed in response to a new urban context.
Public Mural Project – Tehran Municipality, Iran, February 2019
This work was
developed within the same urban framework, but on a different wall with its own
conditions.
The surface was
already worn and uneven, with visible layers and structural divisions. Instead
of altering it, I kept these conditions and worked with them as the base of the
composition.
The miniature
figures are embedded within the wall, interacting with its cracks, edges, and
interruptions. Doors, windows, and fragmented areas become part of how the
image is formed.
Rather than a
fixed composition, the work shifts with the surface. The figures follow its
rhythm, creating a sequence that is shaped by the structure of the wall itself.
Across different
locations, this approach remains consistent, while each work changes depending
on the specific site.
