These studies later developed into the “Floor -4” mural collection.
Developed through both sculptural and painterly approaches, these studies investigate spatial construction through material and perceptual means—using volumetric forms to examine light and shadow, and painting to explore tonal range and color relationships.
The transition from studio to urban scale marks a shift from contained compositions to expanded architectural surfaces, where the same spatial logic is reinterpreted within the city. Elements such as suspended stairs, inaccessible openings, and fragmented interiors are translated onto building facades, preserving their sense of disorientation while engaging with real environments.
Through this process, the controlled and introspective spaces of the studio extend into public contexts, allowing the psychological tension embedded in the works to intersect with everyday urban life. Figures, once confined within constructed voids, are repositioned within the city—expanding the investigation from internal spatial perception to a collective urban experience.
