From Nightmare — Surface Under Pressure
Developed from a live model, this work examines the face as a site of transformation under pressure.
The luster glaze produces a reflective, unstable surface that both reveals and obscures the features, interrupting any fixed reading of the face. Areas appear scorched, fractured, or partially dissolved, as if the material itself has undergone a process of internal rupture.
Rather than expressing a visible wound, the work holds a contained intensity, where surface and identity become inseparable. The face remains intact, yet altered—caught between presence and erosion.
