Figures remain suspended within enclosed structures, caught in spaces that do not lead anywhere.
A series of site-specific interventions was developed across multiple urban facades, focusing on enclosed and fragmented spatial conditions.
Public Mural Project – Tehran Municipality, Iran, March 2023
This project was
developed across different surfaces, working with architectural forms that
suggest enclosure and interruption.
Figures are
placed within confined structures—isolated, quiet, and often disconnected from
both the space around them and from one another.
Elements such as
stairs that lead nowhere, blocked volumes, and inaccessible openings create a
space that appears open, yet resists movement.
The composition
reveals only what is visible on the surface, while deeper layers remain out of
reach. What emerges is a suspended condition, where movement is suggested but
never completed, and where the space holds a sense of pause rather than
transition.
