A series of spatial interventions reflecting states of isolation, disorientation, and suspended movement within the urban environment.

  • Public Mural Project – Tehran Beautification Organization, Tehran, Iran, March 2023

A site-specific mural collection developed across multiple urban facades, examining psychological and spatial conditions of confinement, disconnection, and suspended movement.

The project emerges from an encounter with the surrounding environment, where architectural structures become carriers of emotional states—evoking a persistent sense of loss, loneliness, and alienation. Figures are positioned within enclosed, fragmented spaces; silent, uncertain, and detached from both their surroundings and one another.

Stairs that lead nowhere, blocked volumes, and inaccessible openings construct a paradoxical spatial condition: a seemingly open and transparent environment that, in reality, resists access and continuity. This tension reflects broader social conditions—spaces that appear visible and navigable, yet remain fundamentally closed.

The composition reveals only surface layers, while deeper narratives remain concealed. Within these suspended environments, individuals exist in isolated and collective voids, unable to transition or escape.

Visually, the work draws from modern architectural forms and minimalist aesthetics, using structure, void, and repetition to articulate a state of psychological and spatial entrapment.
