Ceramic, crackle glaze | 21 × 19 cm | 2023
From Nightmare — Surface Under Pressure
Developed from a live model, this work explores the face as a fractured
The crackle glaze produces an intricate network of lines that both define and destabilize the form, interrupting the continuity of the features. The surface appears segmented, as if held together through tension rather than cohesion.
Rather than revealing a singular identity, the work suggests a dispersed condition, where presence is distributed across fragments. What remains visible is not a unified face, but a structure sustained through instability.
