Ceramic, crackle glaze | 21 × 19 cm | 2023
From Nightmare — Surface Under Pressure
A network of
cracks holds the face together rather than breaking it apart.
The piece begins
with a face, then develops through a crackle glaze.
Fine lines spread
across the surface, dividing it into small sections. These cracks do not
destroy the image. They define it—holding the form in place through tension.
The face remains
visible, but no longer unified. It is held together through its own
fragmentation.
The form does not
collapse. It stays in balance with its fractures.
